Commission schedule
Commission is calculated on net order value: the order total minus shipping, taxes, applied discounts, and any cancelled or refunded items.

How the tiers work:
- Tiers are measured on net sales referred in a calendar month and reset on the 1st of each month.
- When an affiliate crosses a threshold in a month, the higher rate applies retroactively to the first order of that month, not just to orders after the threshold.
- Rate changes apply to orders placed on or after the effective date; already-paid commissions are not recalculated.
- Commission is paid on repeat orders from a referred customer for 12 months from their first order, at the affiliate’s rate in effect when each order is placed.
- A referred customer is one whose first Cough Zero order is tracked to the affiliate’s link or code.
Customer offer
- Affiliates get a 10% off first-order code to share, plus a tracked link.
- The affiliate code is not combinable with the site’s existing email-capture 10% offer or any other promotion.
- Codes apply to consumer orders only, not to wholesale, distributor, or licensing transactions.
- Each affiliate receives one code by default. Additional codes are issued on request for split testing or separate channels.
Tracking and attribution
- 30-day cookie window, last click wins.
- Coupon-code attribution acts as the fallback when cookies are blocked or cleared: an order using the affiliate’s code is credited to that affiliate.
- Attribution is decided at the time of order. Orders later attributed differently by a customer request are adjusted at Cough Zero’s discretion.
- Not commissionable: orders placed by the affiliate, their employees, or their household; orders using a code the affiliate did not receive from Cough Zero; orders that are fraudulent, resold, or placed for resale.
- Wholesale, distributor, and licensing deals that begin as an affiliate referral are not paid at affiliate rates. If an affiliate introduces a retail, distributor, or licensing opportunity, it is handled as a separate commercial discussion and paid under a separate written agreement.

Worked example: an order placed on March 4 becomes approved on April 3, and is paid on May 15, alongside everything else approved during April.
- Payments are issued by PayPal by default. ACH direct deposit is available for US affiliates, and store credit is available at a +10% bonus on the payout amount.
- Cough Zero covers standard PayPal and ACH transfer fees. Affiliates cover any currency conversion or intermediary bank fees.
- US affiliates must have a W-9 on file before payout. Non-US affiliates may be asked for a W-8BEN. Tax forms are issued as required by applicable law.
- Payouts are made in USD.
- Affiliates can see pending, approved, and paid commissions, plus their link and code, in the affiliate dashboard at /affiliate-login/.
Returns, refunds, and chargebacks
- Refunded, cancelled, or charged-back orders are deducted from the next payout. The 30-day hold means most refunds are netted out before the commission is ever paid.
- If a refund happens after a commission was paid, the amount is deducted from future commissions. If the affiliate has no future commissions and the balance is negative, Cough Zero may invoice the difference or offset it against store credit.
- Chargebacks are treated the same as refunds.
Program rules
Affiliates agree not to:
- Refer themselves, or place orders through their own link or code to earn commission.
- Register or bid on Cough Zero, Breathezene, or confusingly similar terms in paid search, including as keywords, ad copy, or display URLs.
- Run coupon, cashback, or deal-site placements, browser extensions, or toolbar traffic without prior written approval.
- Use Cough Zero or Breathezene in a domain name, social handle, or page title in a way that implies an official brand account.
- Send unsolicited bulk email, or post in communities that prohibit promotion.
- Make product claims beyond the approved materials Cough Zero provides. Affiliates are responsible for the accuracy of what they publish.
- Fail to disclose the affiliate relationship. Every post, video, or page that uses an affiliate link must carry a clear disclosure such as “#ad”, “affiliate link”, or “I earn a commission on purchases made through this link.”
Violations can lead to withheld commissions and account termination.
Eligibility, term, and changes
- Open to individuals and businesses 21 years of age or older in markets where Cough Zero ships and where such a program is lawful.
- Applications are reviewed before activation; Cough Zero may decline or delay any application.
- The program is month-to-month. Either party may end it at any time. Commissions earned on orders placed before termination are still paid on the normal schedule.
- Cough Zero may update the commission schedule, payout terms, or these rules. Material changes are announced by email at least 30 days before they take effect and apply only to orders placed after the effective date.
- Affiliates may not assign their account or commissions without written consent.
- Cough Zero may suspend or close an account for suspected fraud, self-referral, or rule violations, and may withhold commissions tied to the activity under review.
